Matilde Lovato – Age 89 A resident of Chamisal passed away on Sunday, May 7th, 2006. She loved to spend her time doing crocheting, plastic canvases, quilting and she loved to sing and dance to Florde las Flores. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and go to the senior citizen center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delfino and Felicita Lucero, her husband Diego Lovato in 1976; daughters: Mary Lovato and Elizaida Arguello; infant daughter, Mary Lovato; son, Diego Lovato Jr. on October 2005; sons-in-law: Pedro Herrera and Juan Rios; sisters: Felonice Espinoza, Manuelita Padilla and Bennie Romero; brother-in-law, Jose Lovato; grandson, Diego Herrera; and great-grandson, Francisco C. Cordova. May their souls rest in peace. She married Diego Lovato on August 7th, 1939. She is survived by her children: Allen R. Lovato and wife Gloria of Los Angeles, CA, Elsie Rodarte and husband Oliver of Chamisal, Jessie Lovato and wife Jeannie of Chamisal, Virginia Herrera of Magna, Utah, Mabel Rios of Santa Fe, Felicita Romero and husband Conrad of Llano Largo, Donald Lovato and wife Diana of Milan, Diana Quintana and husband Fred of Española, Ubaldo Lovato and wife Jane of Tooele, Utah, Frank Lovato and wife Bertha of Chamisal, Gloria Visarraga and husband William of Salt Lake City, Utah and Neomi Gurule and husband Timmy of Milan; sister, Rafelita Lovato of Chamisal; brother-in-law, Rudolfo Romero of Chamisal; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 10th, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Peñasco. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Chamisal Catholic Cemetery. With the following serving as pallbearers: Franklin and Uvaldo Lovato, Donald Lovato Jr., Paul Romero, Elmer Enas Rodarte and Timothy Gurule. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren. The family of Matilde Lovato has placed their trust in the Rivera family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
