Matthew Mark Sandoval

Matthew M. Sandoval, age 50 years old, and resident of Chimayo, passed away after a short illness on January 3, 2016. He was born in July of 1965 to Ruth and LeRoy Sandoval of Chimayo, NM. Matthew is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy, brothers Sandy and Randy Sandoval; paternal grandparents, Ezequiel and Sofia Sandoval of Chimayo; maternal grandparents, Hermerjildo and Epimenia Ortiz of Truchas, NM. Matthew is survived by the pride of his life and daughter Amanda Lee Sandoval of Alcalde; his loving (and the best) mother Ruth O. Sandoval of Chimayo; his sister and brother-in-law Tyra and Ruben Rodriguez of Chimayo, niece and nephew, Anika Sandoval, and Isaac Ortiz of Cordova, beloved stepson Joseph Fernandez of Alcalde, many other aunts, uncles and cousins, and his companion Danielle Romero of Chimayo. Matthew will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness and caring nature. Matthew was talented with his hands, mechanically inclined, and always ready to help someone in need. His smile and laugh will be cherished in our hearts and greatly missed. A private family service will be held.
