Melissa Leehan

Melissa Leehan (73) died suddenly on Saturday, March 4 of a heart attack. After many years as a Psychotherapist in Indianapolis, IN and then for the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation, Melissa moved to Santa Fe in January of 2007. She soon became involved at St. Bede's Episcopal Church and as a Supervisor for students offering free family therapy at the Sky Center program of the NM Suicide Intervention Project (NMSIP), She also conducted her own private therapy practice. Melissa is survived by her husband, Jim Leehan, son, Mario Costello, and his wife, Kitty, and daughters, Nina and Annie. She was also stepmother to Kathy Pallach and her husband, Tom. A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at St. Bede's Episcopal Church (1600 St. Francis Dr) at 2:00 on Friday, March 10. The family requests that instead of flowers contributions be made to NMSIP (Sky Center) or the St. Bede's Church Building Fund.
