Melvin Joseph Medina, 58 passed away suddenly on June 29, 2018. He was born on November 15, 1959 in Fairview, NM to Bertha and Benjamin S. Medina. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents: Benjamin S. and Bertha Medina, brother: Eli Medina and sister Viola Arellano. He is survived by his sister: Marlene Romero from Santa Fe, NM, brother: Leonard Medina from Albuquerque, NM, sister: Margaret Vigil from Santa Fe, NM, brother: Manuel Medina from Albuquerque, NM, brother: Larry Medina from Arroyo Seco, NM, brother: Orlando Medina from Albuquerque, NM, brother: Ben Medina from Albuquerque, NM. Melvin started at the Santa Fe County Assessor’s office in 1992 he was a dedicated hard worker of Santa Fe County Assessor’s office for 25 years and happily retired on June 30, 2017. Melvin has a personality and smile that could light up the room. He was so full of life. Melvin was that person who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need of help. He was always smiling, laughing and making jokes. He was such a character and our own personal food critic. Melvin was an amazing uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. We lost you too soon to meet again our angel. We love and miss you so much. Thank you to family and friends who have supported us in the mourn of our loss. Pallbearers: Leonard Medina, Larry Medina, Manuel Medina, Matthew Medina, Orlando Medina, Christopher Romero and Guillermo Perez-Vargas. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Santa Maria De La Paz Mass will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Maria De La Paz followed by Interment at 2:00 p.m. at Rosario Cemetery.
