Mercedes Martinez

Mercedes Martinez, 66, formerly of Valdez passed away on March 1, 2012 in Dallas, TX after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Isabel Garcia, brothers, Luis and Felix Garcia and sister, Stella Garcia. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jerry Martinez, son, Carl Martinez (Dianna) and daughter, Brenda Martinez, grandchildren, Brandon and Maxwell Martinez, brother, Ralph Garcia, nephews, Felix, Father Dennis, Louie and Lloyd Garcia, godson, Miguel Antonio Sunshine Garcia, numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on March 05, 2012 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Funeral mass was held on March 06, 2012 at the Valdez Catholic Church with interment following at the Valdez Cemetery.
