Michael E Block

Michael E. Block a resident of Albuquerque passed away February 2, 2016. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; Seymour Leslie Block and Iva Lena Mullins Block of Phoenix, Az. Mike was survived by his wife, Janet McGee Block, son, Michael Block, daughter, Andrea Ortega (Shaun Martinez) grand-daughters; Kylie and Michaela and was expecting his third grand-daughter soon. Mike and his wife lived in Santa Fe several years before moving to Albuquerque. He worked in the computer technology industry most of his life. He was an active member in the Santa Fe Jaycees. Mike served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 through 1974 in Vietnam and was on the U.S. Kittyhawk most of that time. He always found a way to love and support his family and friends. Mike took great care of his beloved wife, Janet. He was a talented handy man and could fix everything. Mike was close to his brother-in-law, Larry McGee and his sister-in-law, Meridith Balser and their families. He will be missed A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, at 1:00 PM at the Kiva Chapel of Light. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 PM.
