Michael Jospeh Moya, Jr.

Michael J. Moya, Jr. 29 of Chama, NM. passed away on Monday September 22, 2008. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and a skilled carpenter, but enjoyed spending time with his children most of all. Michael will be dearly missed by his family. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John & Goldie Medlin and paternal grandmother Maria Alcaria Moya. He is survived by his partner in life Bonnie Salgado of Chama, his two sons Fabian & Dominic Moya, and daughter Candice Moya, father Michael Moya, Sr. of Chama, mother Pamela Moya, of Chama, brothers Jeremy Medlin and wife Stefanie of Cortez, CO., Lucas Moya and wife Jackie of Dulce, Henry Medlin of Chama, and Paul Medlin of Chama, sisters Beverly Medlin of Los Alamos, Elizabeth Medlin of Santa Fe, and Melinda Medlin of Los Alamos, father in law Johnny Salgado of Greely, CO., mother in law Paula Esparza of Lexington, NE., brothers in law Juan Salgado and wife Rebecca, Julio Salgado, sisters in law Lucia Salgado, and Esther Salgado. A prayer service will be held on Thursday September 25 at 7:00 pm at The Chama Valley Worship Center, the funeral service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 am at the same church. Interment will follow at the Chama Community Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Lucas Moya, Jeremy Medlin, Henry Medlin, Paul Medlin, Julio Salgado, and Juan Salgado, and Honorary pallbearers are Melinda Medlin and Sergeant Richard Romero.
