Michael " Bobby " Stroop

Michael ”Bobby” J. Stroop, age 51, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, NM passed away unexpectedly on January,21 2023. Micheal is preceded in death by his father Walter Stroop Sr., brother Walter Stroop II, maternal grandparents Terasita and Manuel Atencio, and paternal grandparents Noel and Rose Stroop. Michael is survived by his companion Ceceila Harrington, mother Rose Salazar, brother Anthony Stroop (Elthea Chavez), aunt Cecelia Aquino, uncle Tom Atencio, aunt Francess Pacheco, aunt Erestine Glock, niece Norma Barela (Albert Rodriguez), nephews James Anthony Barela-Fernandez (Elijah Fernandez-Barela), Walter Stroop III, Aaron Stroop, Adrain Stroop, great niece Penelope Rodriguez, great Nephew Albert Jr. Rodriguez, god sister Ceana Gallegos, special sister in-law Anna Barela(Jacob Olivas), and numerous relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on January 22, 2023 at 7pm with no Rosary at Rivera's Family Funeral Home of Espanola. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 23,2023 at 9am at Saint John Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, NM. Burial is to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Anthony Stroop, James Anthony Barela-Fernandez, Aaron Stroop, Adrain Stroop, Elijah Fernandez-Barela, Walter Stroop III, Neven Duran, Patrick Cata, and Albert Rodriguez. The family would express their greatest sincere thanks to Ohkay Owingeh Fire Department, Ohkay Owingeh Police Department, Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Council, and last but not least to the Ohkay Owingeh Fiscalies. The family of Michael “Bobby” J. Stroop has entrusted the care of their precious Bobby to the Riveras family and staff.
