Minnie Ermenia Quintana, age 91, a resident of Espanola, NM passed away on November 21, 2014, after a short illness. Minnie was born in Chimayo, NM to Lorenzo and Luisita J. Trujillo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony E. Quintana, daughter, Cecilia Olivas and infant son, Donald James Quintana, and granddaughter Conni Quintana, her parents, Lorenzo and Luisita J. Trujillo. Also preceding her are her sisters, Isabelle Trujillo and Aggie T. Salyer, brothers, Filiberto Trujillo and Luisito Trujillo.
She is survived by her two sons, Leroy Quintana and wife Carol of Las Cruces, NM, Bobby Quintana and wife Phyllis of Sombrillo, NM, daughter, Patsy Sandoval and husband Levi of El Rancho, NM and son in law, Frank Olivas of Sombrillo, NM. Five grandsons, Raymond Sandoval and wife Sarah of El Rancho, NM, Ron Quintana and wife Christine of Las Cruces, NM, Donald Olivas and wife Cindy of Sombrillo, NM, Phillip Quintana and wife Victoria of Santa Cruz, NM, and Kevin Quintana of Sombrillo, NM Two granddaughters Michelle Duran and husband Bruce of El Rancho, NM, Felicia Sandoval also of El Rancho, NM.
Minnie was a member of the Altar Society and Holy Family. She loved to cook, knit and make ceramics. She always made friends everywhere she went. She worked in the school cafeteria in Sombrillo.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Raymond, Ron, Donald, Phillip and Kevin and nephew Nick Trujillo.
Honorary Pallbearers her two granddaughters Michelle and Felicia and twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and a dear friend and cousin Anastacio Vigil.
A public visitation took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church, Santa Cruz, NM. A Rosary was recited on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, Funeral Mass followed at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church, Interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
