Born on June 14, 1930 in Questa, New Mexico, Maude ( Modesta) Trujillo, our beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on March 20, 2019.
Maude was born in Questa, New Mexico, the daughter of Castulo and Clorinda Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents and Step-Father Ben (Abenicio) Cisneros, her two sisters, Ida Berela and Louisa Quintana, and brother Richard Martinez, and her husband of sixty-six years, Berlin Trujillo.
She is survived by her two beloved sons, Kenny Trujillo (Erin), and Bobby Lee Trujillo (wife Tish) of Santa Fe. She is also survived by her very loved grandchildren, Delilah (Trujillo) Medina (husband Mark Medina), Chelsie Gordon (husband Chase Gordon), Rheana Trujillo, Mariah Trujillo, and Antonio Berlin Trujillo; great-grandchildren, Elena Medina, Alicia Medina, and Cameron Gordon; and step-grandchildren, Christen Martinez, Jared Martinez (Kaylie, and sons Wyatt and Maverick), and Robert Martinez (wife Makandle); Marti Martinez (sister-in-law) of Albuquerque, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
Maude, a long time resident of Santa Fe, worked for the State of New Mexico for 32 years. She worked for three State Auditors, DFA (Automated Data Processing) and retired from the State Attorney General's Office.
A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:15 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. A reception will follow the Mass. Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:30PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
