Monica Martinez

Monica Nicole Martinez age 39, a resident of Medanales NM, Went to be with our Lord December 01, 2022. Following a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by her father Benny Martinez, maternal grandfather Roberto Gallegos, Paternal grandmother/ grandfather Claudina Salazar and Antonio Martinez. Monica is survived by her mother ( her best friend ) Sandra and father Felipe Salazar. Her brothers & spouses: Benji ( Lori ) Anthony D. ( Jessica ) Roman ( companion Andria Paña ) Amanda ( Raul ) Munoz. Step-Siblings Lupe & Michael.

Goddaughters Estrella, Faith and Esperanza Nieces and Nephews: Marlene ( Gilbert ) Nathaniel ( Yessenia ) Nicolas, Leo , Aubrey, Julian, Leticia, Mandy, Emerson, and many other family & friends.

Monica will always be remembered for her warrior spirit, for always having the strength to smile through her every day battles and for never letting her illness define her. 

Rosary to be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola at 7 pm on December 09, 2022. Mass December 10, 2022 10 am at Abiquiu Saint Thomas Catholic Church, meal to follow at the parish.Located at 1, Church Plaza, Abiquiu, NM 87510. Monica will be laid to rest in Medanales.

The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Rivera Family Funeral Home of the beautiful Espanola valley.
