Morris J. Santistevan

Morris Santistevan was a resident of Chamita. He passed away Sunday January 14, 2018. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratories after many years. He served in the Army National Guard from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean War. He enjoyed the outdoors especially his farm and tractor. He loved to dance, tell jokes and stories. He was a devoted husband, father, and a very special grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; Napoleon and Rosana Santistevan, Father and Mother in law; Adolfo and Ernestina Salazar, Brothers and Sister in laws; Charlie and Stella Santistevan, Dennis and Mallie Santistevan, Sam and Barbara Santistevan, Brothers: Don Santistevan, and Max Santistevan, Sisters; Esther Gallegos, Ida Santistevan, Brother and Sister in law; Charlotte and Orlando, Brother in law; Floyd Warren. He is survived by his wife; Eva M. Santistevan, Son; Mark and wife Linda, Daughters; Margo and husband Robert Roybal, Michelle Deaguero and companion Sonny Martinez, Grandsons; Jared Roybal, Francisco and Claire Roybal, Granddaughters; Ty Deaguero, Kiana Deaguero and Fiancé AJ Romero, Great Grandsons; Charlie and Max Roybal, Brother in law David and wife Matilda Salazar. Sisters; Precilla Warren, Lucy Santistevan, Loretta Red, Antonia and husband Art Santry, Brothers; David and wife Miama Santistevan, Don and wife Maria Santistevan, Brother in law; Johnny Gallegos and Sister in law; Irene Santistevan Serving the family as Pallbearers are; Francisco Roybal, AJ Romero, Roy Romero, Robert Warren, Steve Santistevan, David Salazar, Jared Roybal and Sonny Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be all his nephews and nieces. Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, 6:30 PM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in San Juan, NM with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, San Juan, New Mexico.
