Nancy Hernandez

Nancy M. Hernandez was born on March 23, 1951 in Springer, NM and made her journey home to heaven on July 2, 2023. 

Her parents Henry and Eliza Monnet preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are brother George, sister Susie Rigoni, and brother Arthur. 

She is survived by her loving husband Vicente, whom she married on December 17, 1971, children John (daughter Madison), James (spouse Shayne, children Shaylyne, Ashton, Ashlyne, Grayson, Gracelyne, Lincoln, Lachlyne), Lewanna Hernandez (children Tyler, Devin, Savannah, Corey (partner Kylie), Larissa Byrd (spouse-Bryan), great-grandchildren Caleb Lane and Annie, siblings Clyde, Lisa Monnet, Margie Manzanares, Mary Armijo (Rudy), Lena Monnet, and Burt. 

Nancy loves her family unconditionally. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she took her last breath and entered the gates of Heaven.  Her memory will live in their hearts forever and her legacy will be carried forward by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy’s love and devotion, to her husband Vicente of 51 years, are an example for all of us to follow. Nancy loves God and shared that love freely with her family everyday through the sharing of scripture, and more importantly, through example.  Nana, as she was so affectionately called, will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Altitude Church located at 1612 Pacheco Street, Santa Fe, NM beginning at 11:00 a.m. (viewing), 12:00 p.m. (Celebration of Life service), and reception lunch immediately following.
