Neil Buchholtz

Neil Forrest Buchholtz, 70, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 peacefully at his home. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Darby Buchholtz, his son, Neil "Two" (Carlsbad, CA), and four step children, three of which he raised as his own - Karley Steffen (Santa Fe, NM), Kaleigh Serrano (Omar) (Santa Fe, NM), Bradley Bredell (Michelle) and Brady Bredell (Elias Brown) (Fargo, ND), as well as four grandkids Dominic, Graciela, Abbey and Connor. He also leaves behind his two K9 companions, his miniature pincher and his little buddy, Kooper, and his loyal lab mix, Goldie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Louise Buchholtz. Born December 19, 1945 in Kinston, North Carolina, Neil was raised in Jamestown, North Dakota, where he worked on his beloved farm. Neil was a jack of all trades, working as a farmer, jeweler, mechanic, and builder. Neil enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with his beloved grandkids. A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
