Nelson Francisco “Horse” Rodarte Jr., 39, an electrician by trade and business owner of Mountain Man Electric, who resided in Rodarte, New Mexico, passed away tragically on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mamma Eva Griego, sister Maggie Rodarte, and bestfriends Aaron and Fernando Rodarte and John Gurule. He is survived by his father Nelson Rodarte, daughter Kathleen Gonzales (mother Kimberly Gonzales), sisters Sara and Angelica Rodarte, nephew Antonio Rodarte, nieces Klarissa Medina, Mackayla and Briona Duran, Monique Rodarte, Leandrea Martinez, and cousins Andrea Griego, Felisha Tollardo, and Alberta Romero whom he considered his sisters. Jr. also appreciated the Gonzales family for all they had done for him and his daughter. Nelson truly lived up to the description of his name. He was a very loveable, respectful, outgoing guy who cared for others and helped everyone, no questions asked. He was successful, educated, handsome, and hardworking. Nelson was a wonderful person to spend time with and be around. The love he had for his family and friends was extraordinary. Everyone who knew him knew they could trust him with their life and that he would never let them down. He lived every day to the fullest, always saying, “live like tomorrow is not promised, at least you were happy.” Nelson believed that it was important to spend time with him while he was alive because he never wanted people to be at his grave crying.
