Oliver William Jr. Oliver Williams Jr., age 96, a resident of Santa Fe NM has passed away on January 9, 2017. He was born in La Mesa, NM on February 29, 1920 to Oliver D. and Margaret M. Williams Sr. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret J. Williams and his sisters Bervette and Margie Swan. He is survived by his daughters Ruth Alleen Smith (Morris) and Sandy Perea (Bobby), his son Oliver D. “Bud” Williams III and loving partner Patricia Tafoya Marlin, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Oliver D. Williams Jr. served in the Army in the 45th Infantry Division for four years. During his service and on a three day pass, he married the love of his life Margaret J. Williams. After serving in the Army, he attended UTEP College where he studied accounting. He became a dedicated employee of Reynolds Electric where he thrived as an accountant for many years. His career with Reynolds allowed him the opportunity to work in various parts of the country including Texas, Louisiana, Nevada and New Mexico, where he ultimately ended in Santa Fe. He joined the Freemasons in 1958 and earned a prestigious 32nd degree. He was also a longstanding member of the Civitans where he served as their first president and received Civitan of the year in 1961. After many years as an accountant, Oliver ventured into real estate and received his Brokers license. He started the Real Estate School of Santa Fe and taught many people in the community and led them to great careers in real estate.
