Orlando “Orlie” Griego

Our beloved husband and father, Orlando Griego from Galisteo, NM passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 2, 2024.

Orlando was born on April 2, 1955, and retired from Santa Fe Public Schools after 25 years of service.  He was married to Lisa Griego for 33 years and raised two wonderful children, Timo and Micaela.

Orlando loved going camping, fishing and building furniture as a hobby.  He loved being with family and friends when there were family functions. He was always there for anyone when needed and that is what made him special to all of us.

Orlando is preceded in death by his daughter Micaela, his parents David and Antonia Griego, brother Elias Griego and his In Laws Onesimo and Mela Montoya.  He is survived by his wife Lisa Griego, son Timo, brother Davey Sr (Cindy) and Alyce Tapia, and several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

The services for Orlando will be Feb. 3, 2024, at the Nuestra Senora de Los Remedios Church in Galisteo, NM. The Rosary will be at 10:00am and the Funeral Mass at 11:00pm.  The burial will follow at the Galisteo Cemetery.
