Orlando "Orlie" Romero

Orlando “Orlie” Romero, 16, from La Joya (Pecos) passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd. He was born on December 27, 2000 to Angela & Ronald Romero. He is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Lou and Alice Romero, Uncle Dean Romero, Aunt Elaine Romero and Cousin Mariah Sena. He is survived by his parents, brothers, Joseph (Leandra), Derrick and Nicholas, all of La Joya. Godson/Nephew Lucas Romero. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Orlando and Georgia Lopez (La Joya), Aunts Patsy (Franklin), Annette (Rudy) from Pecos, Sandra (Chris) of Albuquerque, Uncles Lou (Theresa), Paul (Frances) & Gene all from Pecos and Godparents Ray & Lorina Sanchez of Pecos, and special friend Destiny Romero, numerous cousins, extended family and special friends. Orlando was lifelong resident of Pecos attending elementary, middle and high school at Pecos Independent Schools, a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a stand out member of the Pecos Wrestling Team. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying horseback riding, hunting and camping with his family and friends. Orlando had a heart of gold and with his constant smile made a lasting impression on all who knew him, met him and loved him. He will forever be remembered, missed and loved. Services will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Pecos, NM, Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 Rosary 10am, Mass 11am. Pallbearers will be the Pecos Wrestling Team Members.
