Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, passed away at home on May 04, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Polly was born on June 7, 1919 in Colonias, New Mexico to Jesus and Domitilia Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Jesus & Domitilia Garcia, husband; Gregorio J. Ortiz, son; Gilbert Ortiz, grandson; Alex Ortiz, daughter-in-law; Yvonne Ortiz, Darlene Majors and her best friend; Rosie Ortiz.

She is survived by her children; Gregg Majors, Rebecca Ortiz, Sylvia Herrera (Joe), Annabelle Sandoval (Gilbert), Leroy Ortiz and her best friend Rosita Romero, her daughter-in-law; Virginia Ortiz, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was a devout member of the Sacred Heart Society of the Sagrada Familia Church in Rowe.

Polly won both the green and red chile contestant at Pecos National Monument.

The family would like to thank Amber Care Hospice, Dr. K. Thron, nurse Lynn and Jackie nurse assistant for the loving care they gave our mother.

Special thanks to all our friends and relatives who frequently asked us about her heath and well being and had her in their prayers.

Pallbearers, her grandsons; Greg Ortiz, Lee Ortiz, Ben Sandoval, Matthew Sandoval, Jason Herrera, Jeremy Herrera.

Honorary Pallbearers, her great grandson; Gregory Ortiz, her cousin; Marcial Ruiz and

Baxter (Weedee Weedee).

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light at 6:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic in Pecos, NM.

Due to covid restrictions, funeral mass will be limited to family members only.

Those wishing to attend commital services may attend after mass at Rowe Church Cemetery.
