Patricia Anne Bareiss

Patricia Ann Sanford Bareiss was born in Takoma Park, Maryland on June 30th 1938 of mother Mildred Watt and father Ralph Miller. She spent her youth in Maryland and Houston, Texas. She wed William E. Sanford Jr. and on March 13th 1970 gave birth to Mark William Sanford, her only child. Patricia attended California State University, Long Beach California B. A. 1967. Later she studied life drawing with John Lincoln and watercolor with Michael Daniel Lake at Wood Community College California 1981 -83 to further the skills she practiced to become the respected artist and teacher she was in her chosen media of watercolor paintings. In 1983 Patricia and her son moved from Belmont Shores, California to Taos, New Mexico. Shortly after her move to Taos, she met Philip Bareiss, the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life. Philip and Patricia were wed on August 12, 2004. In the many happy years Philip and Patricia were together they lived in Taos and spent their time traveling around the world viewing all of its splendors while they made new friends and visited old ones. Patricia's spirit and memory are survived by her sister Linda Hubert, brothers Norman and Roger Miller, son Mark William Sanford, daughter-in-law Vivian L. Sanford, grandchildren Kaeli, Emma and Mark T. Sanford, her husband Philip C. Bareiss and in the hearts and memories of her many friends that will forever remember her.............we love you, Trixie.
