We are extremely saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Patricia Jean Martinez (Pots) at the age of 62, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of the Espanola Valley.
Patricia’s work on earth is done, she is now reunited with her son, Antonio, father, Tomas, brother, Eugene and niece, Felicia Anna, maternal grandparents, Amabilis and Oliama Herrera, paternal grandparents, Praxedes and Ninfa Martinez.
She is survived by her mother, Rosina, brother, Tomas II and wife Elsie, sisters, Anna Marie and Bridgit Antonette, nephews, Tomas III, Jonathon, Joshua, great nephew, Benjamin Anaya, great niece, Amelia Martinez, uncle, Edward Herrera, aunts, Mary Sena and Evan Herrera
Pots was a valuable and dedicated worker her entire life. Her career began at the early age of 14 at El Parqua and Los Brazos. She then went on to work for LANL. Followed by her employment at Big Dawgs. Afterwards, she spent the rest of her life in service to her community.
She cared for a myriad of friends, even those suffering with covid.
We have extreme gratitude for her compassionate, care, and selfless friendship she gave along the way. Her loss is one that will be greatly felt by many.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at Santa Cruz de la Canada in Espanola. Followed with a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
