Patrick Sanchez passed away at the age of 55 on March 3, 2022 after battling many illnesses throughout his life. He was a fighter until the end. The Lord saw he was getting tired and took him under his care.
Patrick passed away after spending the evening with his family and with his devoted loving wife, Laura, by his side, as his adored daughter, Adriana, arrived safely at the airport.
Patrick was born in December 1966, to Julius and Angeline Sanchez. He graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque. He went on to graduate from UNM. He became an engineer and worked for NASA, Pantex, Orion, Sandia Labs, and PNM. Patrick married his wife Laura Medrano of 23 years in 1998. He became a proud father in May 2000, to his beautiful daughter, Adriana. Patrick loved photography, going on vacations, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed having coffee with his Father and with his Father in law. He enjoyed serving the Lord as a member of the Knights of Columbus, being a Eucharistic Minister, and bringing communion to relatives who were sick.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Angeline Sanchez and his Father in-law:Joe Medrano.
He is survived by his wife; Laura and his daughter; Adriana, his father; Julius Sanchez, his sisters; Julie (Willie), Angela (Brad), Theresa and his brothers; Paul (Angie) and Robert, his mother-in-law; Rosian Medrano. His sisters-in-law; Liz, Cecilia (Pascual), Josephine, and brother-in-law; Jim. His nieces; Diana, Julie, Jenny, Gabriella, Bloom-Sophia, Isabella and Lilia, his nephews; Pascual (Alma), Francisco and Damian.
A Rosary will be recited on March 17th at 10:00, at Cristo Rey Church, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00, followed by the burial at Rosario Cemetery. If you plan on attending any of the services, please wear a mask.
