Our beloved mom, granny, sister, auntie, and friend, Patsy Sisneros-Walters passed away suddenly on 11/07/2020. She joins her husband Dallas Walters Jr., parents Richard and Nora Sisneros, godson Andy Sisneros, and many other loved ones in heaven. She is survived by her children Nataley, Mary, Tony and wife Mickey, and Angel Quintana, grandchildren Constantine, Fortune, and Lorelai. She is also survived by her siblings Dolores Vargas, Ray Sisneros, Connie Romero, Richard Sisneros Jr., and Jerry Sisneros, and many nieces and nephews. Patsy was a “mom” to so many others who she lovingly called her “adopted children” and is survived by numerous other family and friends.
Patsy loved her kids and grandkids immensely; she was always so proud of them and she loved to talk about them. She loved to make the holidays special for them by doing things like making tamales at Christmas time and sopa for Easter. She made the best cakes, omelets, and quelites, and made everything with love.
Patsy was born and raised in Santa Fe, and attended Santa Fe High School. She took a longer road to her higher education, always putting family first, but with her dedication and perseverance she earned her Bachelor’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University. Patsy was a social worker, and one of her proudest moments was when she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Social work was the perfect profession for her as she loved helping others and did so often.
Patsy was a lifetime Auxiliary member at the VFW Post 2951 and served on the Board in various leadership roles. She loved spending time there and enjoyed working on all the various projects such as buddy poppies and holiday parties honoring veterans and their families. Patsy had also been an Auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3, and enjoyed honoring the men and women in blue and their families with all the Auxiliary activities. She also served on the FOP Auxiliary Board in various leadership roles in the past.
As busy as she was, Patsy always made time on Sundays for God and for her Dallas Cowboys. Every time the Cowboys win, we’ll still hear her cheering.
Patsy was a kind soul. She treated so many people with respect and always wore her heart on her sleeve. She would go above and beyond to help anybody including people that weren't her family. She was definitely loved by so many and a one of a kind human being. A true angel on earth and now one in Heaven.
