Pat W. Maestas

Pat W. Maestas – Age 61 a resident of La Puebla passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carlota Maestas; brother, Daniel Maestas; grandson, Daniel Maestas; and a granddaughter, Brittany Maestas. May their souls rest in peace. He married Mary E. Roybal on October 23, 1968 in Santa Cruz. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary E. Maestas of Española; father, Waldo Maestas of Ranchitos; sons and daughter: Andrew P. Maestas and companion Elaine Espinoza of Española, Georgia Maestas of Arroyo Seco and Patrick Maestas of Española; daughter-in-law, Caroline Maestas of Española; sisters and brothers: Martha Vigil and husband Frank of El Rito, Lorencita Sandoval and husband Ramon of Arroyo Seco, Dennis Maestas of Arroyo Seco, Frank Maestas, Henry Maestas, Joe Maestas and Tony Maestas all of Ranchitos, Ida Vigil and husband Delfido of El Rito, Sally Avila and husband Antonio J. Gonzales of Denver, CO and Mary Velasquez and husband Elmer of Cañones; sisters-in-law: Angela Leal of Taos and Julia Esquibel of Avon, CO; and numerous relatives and friends in Santa Fe and California; and numerous, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited for the repose of his soul at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Joey Vigil, Paul Sandoval, Donald Wells, Randy Vigil, Lupe Atilano, James Wright and Jason Velasquez.
