Paul Baca, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Paul Baca Jr., age 73, on March 5, 2024. Paul was loved and cherished by his family and friends and adored by his grandchildren.  He is survived by Linda, his wife of 52 years, his son Steven Baca, Christina Baca, and his daughter, Sharon Pacheco; 5 grandchildren, Mariah (Max), Avah Baca, Christian Baca, Lauren Pacheco, and Collin Pacheco.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Sally Baca; In-Laws Martin and Manuelita Valencia; son in law Floyd Pacheco Jr.; sister Josephine Coriz, nephews Ronnie Roybal, Henry Valencia Jr. and Michael Valencia; brother in laws Henry Valencia (Kitty) and Alfirio Maestas. 

He is also survived by his sisters; Diane Roybal (Robert), Irene Lopez (Robert), Jeannie Roybal (Joe), in laws; Anthony Coriz, Susie Maestas, Mabel Valencia, Robert Valencia (Beatrice); Patrick Valencia, Edward Valencia (Inez), Frank Valencia (Marie) and many nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.

Paul retired after more than 25 years from Los Alamos National Laboratory.  He was genuine and had a loving heart that was generous and kind.  His family was his world, and he was special to so many.  We will miss him dearly and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Paul’s life will be celebrated on Monday, March 18, 2024, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 511 Alicia Street, in Santa Fe, NM with a Rosary at 9:00am and Mass at 10:00am. Graveside services will follow at the Rivera Santa Fe Memorial Gardens.
