Paul David Craighead, age 59, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away on July 8, 2013. He was born on April 15, 1954 in Denver, CO to Shirley Evalyn Gray Craighead and Joseph W. Craighead Sr.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Craighead, father Joseph Craighead. He is survived by his brother Joseph W. Craighead, III (Kelly) of Denver, CO, brother Thomas G. Craighead (Susan) of Naperville, IL, sister Susan S. Craighead of Framingham, MA, niece Emily Teising, PhD (Ryan) of Evansville, IN, niece Nora Park (David) of Seattle, WA, dear friends Linda LeVan, Mina Jesic, Mara Taub, Maury Culberg all of Santa Fe and Ann Gray Smallwood of Springfield, IL and loving companions Maxi, Spider and Latte of Framingham, MA (formerly of Santa Fe).
The world lost a gentle and kind soul (with a wicked sense of humor). David passed over peacefully with his brother, Tom, by his side after a day surrounded by friends and family. He was a retired talented artisan printer with a passion for life. David grew up in Denver and lived most of his adult life in Santa Fe, with the exception of time in Oregon and Israel. Davids friends and family enjoyed his extraordinary wit and humor, as well as his exceptional kindness. He was devoted to his cats, as they were to him. It is not possible to list all of those who preceded or survived him when so many claimed David as family. David mourned the loss of Vanja Aljinovic, Sadie Quintana and Abel Martinez (who called him Mijo). David has also left behind Miljen, Nikola, and Nika Aljinovic, and Justin LeVan.
