Pauline Castillo

Pauline F, (Brown) Castilo, 83 of Pojoaque, NM passed away on July 3rd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and her beloved chihuahua, Mama's Baby on the 20th anniversary of her mom's passing. She was born in Ranchos de Taos, NM on July 25, 1939, to Rumalda (Sanchez) Brown and Eugene Brown. Pauline married her loving and devoted husband, Armando Castillo-C on February 15, 2007.

Pauline is survived by her five children, Mary Jane Lopez (Eddie), Anna Trujillo (Martin), Pastors Nadine and Paul Flores, Carmen Rubish (Bret), John Lave (Yvonne), three stepchildren, Sharon Lave-Wilson (Dave), Erica Castillo and Armando Baca-Castillo. She is further survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren along other siblings, Pastor Ernest Brown (Viola), Eugene Brown (Theresa), Sarah Quarles (Ben) and many nieces and nephews. 

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister, Carmen Jaquez and granddaughter, Sharon Lopez. 

Pauline's passions were sewing, crocheting, crafting, and painting. Often, her creations were gifted to family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Taos area, traveling, taking rides, cooking, and tending to her roses. When there was music, you would often find Pauline dancing and singing, especially to Mariachi music. She loved spending time with her family, but most of all, Pauline loved serving her Lord. 

On behalf of Pauline's family, we would like to recognize and say a special thank you to Lilianna Martinez, Rose Lozano, and the rest of the Presbyterian Hospice team along with Mary Helen Perea, Al Romero and the staff at Rivera Funeral Home for assisting in the exceptional care of our precious angel who will forever be in our hearts. 

A service will be held at the House of Praise Assemblies of God church in Velarde, NM on July 23rd at 10am. A memorial service will be held at the Pentecostal Church of God in Taos, NM (415 Hatchery Rd, Taos, NM 87571) on July 25th at 1pm.
