Paul J. Leyba
Passed away November 23, 2020 the youngest of the family, and member of the Hi Landers Musical family group. Graduated in 1969 at Santa Fe High, and was drafted to the Army and was in Vietnam War. Paul worked in the City Of Santa Fe as a mechanic for the City Police vehicles, he had many hobbies including fishing, camping, and boating he also played various instruments and recording, gardening, and taking care of his fruit trees.
He proceeded in death by his father, Luis Leyba, mother, Flora Leyba, sisters Selina Byers Leyba, Katey Baca Leyba, Chanita Leyba, Antonia Montoya Leyba, Ramona Leyba, and brother, Mike Leyba. In laws, Tom Gonzales, Arthur Hentzen, Victor Vandersommen, Jack Byers, Albert Montoya, Pauline Lucero Leyba, Connie Martinez Leyba.
He is survived by Aurora Hentzen, Marcella Vandersommen, “His companion” Dinah Perea, and Mary Jo Gonzales, both took very good care of him for 2 1/2years during his illness. Mary Louise and Mike Rodriguez, Ray and Vickie Leyba, Jerry Leyba, Cayetano Leyba, In-laws, Tommie Urioste Leyba and Pascual Baca, also 5 generations of nieces and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles and many friends.
Many thanks to Amber care and Rocky Mountain ambulance for their help, and Rivera Family Funeral Home, and John Baca for their assistance also to Dr. Alexandra Voinescu for her excellent care to our beloved brother, he will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him , we will also miss his beautiful music.

Due to COVID -19 services will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
