Pearl Emelia Kittredge, 95, formerly from Taos, passed away on September 23, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Filemon Sanchez and Micaela Martinez Sanchez and granddaughter of Anastasio Martinez and Emilia DeTevis Martinez of Taos. She is survived by her son, Larry D. Kittredge of Albuquerque, daughter, Marjorie K. Briles and son-in-law, Gary Briles of Sierra Vista, Arizona, daughter, Victoria E. Kittredge of Albuquerque and son, Anthony R. Kittredge of Las Vegas, Nevada, 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Joe R. Kittredge and sons, William R. Kittredge and Joseph Frederick Kittredge. She worked as a riveter on the airplane wings at Douglas Aircraft as a young woman in Long Beach, California during WWII, raised her children in Taos and later worked at Singer Corporation in Albuquerque. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Holy Rosary Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mostly she was a kind and generous person; she always had a place at the table for anyone who was hungry and a place to lay your head if you were tired. Her children and family will deeply miss her.
Memorial service was held at Rivera Chapel on October 1, 2011 with interment following at the Las Cruces Cemetery and a reception at the Eagles Club.
