Friends and family mourn the loss of Peggy Comeau, much loved wife and mother. She passed away on Saturday, November 17, after battling lung cancer for a year and a half. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Peggy was a graduate of Santa Clara University and received a graduate degree from American University. After college, she served in the Peace Corps in Turkey. Peggy lived in Hawaii for 22 years, where she worked as an advisor to the mayor of Honolulu and later served as Executive Vice President of the Hawaii Association and Honolulu Boards of Realtors. For the past 10 years Peggy has been the Executive Vice President of the Realtors Association of New Mexico. Peggy is survived by husband Robert Ellig of Santa Fe; daughter Michelle Comeau and her husband, William Schoen, of Los Angeles; grandson Daniel Schoen of Los Angeles; brother Leon Sagalewicz (Julie) of Tucson, Arizona; and nephew, Jeff Sagalewicz (Angela) of Portland, Oregon. Peggy's funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 1:30 PM at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community in Santa Fe. The interment will be on Monday, December 3, at 11 AM at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O.
