Peggy Stall

1948 — December 18, 2019

Peggy Marsh Stall, born in 1948 in Chicago Illinois, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.   She will be remembered for bringing joy and passion to everyone and everything in her life. An optimistic person by nature, she took every moment of life as a gift to be treasured.   She was a mentor to innumerable students throughout her decades-long career of teaching in the Taos school system, and briefly in Mora and Albuquerque. She enjoyed teaching and inspiring young people with a love of learning, enough to come out of retirement three times.  Embracing that philosophy herself she took opportunities to take classes, but her true love was learning through travel. She was a Girl Scout leader for several years and Camp Elliot Barker was the location for many district events she organized.  Her passions included a love of travel, art, music, the beauty of mother nature, hot air balloons, teaching, and camping. Her most prized role however was that of Mom and Grandma Peggy, where she endeavored to instill her passions of life and travel to her daughter and granddaughter. She was a devoted friend for many who were lucky enough to call themselves her friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Erin Cartier, and granddaughter, Brooklyn of Colorado Springs, CO., her step-son, Sean Stall of Simsbury, CT,  brother,  Edward James Marsh, Jr and wife Joanne, niece,  Julie Marsh Deisher, and nephew,  Kevin Marsh, as well as her beloved dog, Bella.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Mary Margaret Marsh and a daughter, Kelly.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos.  In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Taos Community Foundation (PO Box 1925, Taos, NM  87571) towards a scholarship for an underprivileged student.
