Pelegrina Martinez

Pelegrina Pauline Martinez 86, of La Villita passed away peacefully on Monday May 1, 2006. She wass preceded in death by her husband, Seferino Tito Martinez; sons, Levi Sandoval, Tito Jondas Martinez and Peter Martinez; grandsons: Daniel and Dion Torres; and her parents, Silviarez and Anita Duran. She is survived by her children: Lillian Martinez of La Villita, Nancy Torrez and husband Danny of Grants, Lawrence Martinez and companion Rachael Sanchez of Los Luceros; the grandchildren she raised: Pete Martinez and Anita Lopez and husband Steve all of La Villita; brother, Celestino Duran and wife Prescilla of San Jose, CA.; she is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Alcalde. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Levi Romero of Albq., Orlando Chavez of Cubero, Nick Jaramillo of Las Vegas, Patricio Martinez of San Juan, Moreno Martinez of Santa Fe, and Ramon Ray Martinez of La Villita, Honorary Pallbearers will be all nine of her grandchildren.
