Peter Gomez

Peter F. Gomez (Pete),72, from Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother; Toni Lupardus, father; Fred B. Gomez, sister; Patricia Gomez, and brother Tommy.  He is survived by his wife; Dolores Anaya-Gomez, daughter; Germaine Gomez-Carrillo, son-in-law Daniel, grandchildren; Derrick Lasean, Kianna Alexis, Matthias Gabriel, Christian Jordan, great granddaughter; Chanell Christy Gomez and Goddaughter, Roberta Valencia;  Sisters; Priscilla Silva, Phyliss Montoya (Matthew), brother; Christopher (Jolene), sister-in-law; Doris Anaya, amd nephew; Waldo Anaya.  Pete retired from the City of Santa Fe as a Street and Drainage Supervisor after 25 years of service.  Pete leaves behind many relatives and close friends. He was part of a breakfast group that met at McDonalds everyday for many years. Some of them have passed on and some of them are here today.  During the pandemic, they had to look for an establishment with outdoor dining. To this day, they have a regular schedule they follow.  Peter will be remembered for his quick humor and sometimes grumpy mood.  Funeral arrangements are as follows: Viewing begins at  6:00pm, Rosary 7:00pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 511 Alicia St., Santa Fe, NM, with interment to follow at Rosario Cemetery. His family wishes to thank everyone for their loving support during this difficult time.
