Petrita Romero

Petrita V. Romero, 91, of Cundiyo passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. She enjoyed both gardening and cooking and going to Native American feasts at the Pueblos. Petrita loved all her animals, her chickens, horses, pigs, goats and peacocks. Petrita was preceded in death by her husband Bernardino Romero, parents Ramon and Francisquita Vigil, brothers Joe and Tranquilino Vigil. She is survived by her son Ben Romero (Felice Garduno). Public visitation will be held at 6:30 pm, followed by a Rosary that will be prayed at 7 PM, June 1, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe at 8:30 AM. Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 2nd at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Gonzales, Orlando Lopez, James Abeyta, Norbert Abeyta, and Kenny Vigil.
