Phillip Miguel Godwin

Godwin, Phillip Miguel, born Oct 29, 1984 passed away on July 11th in California. During almost every summer since he was born, Phillip traveled to Lumberton and loved every minute he spent with his extended family in Northern New Mexico. Devoted father, brother and son; Phil is survived by the loves of his life Denise Agustin, their infant daughter Scarlett Rose Godwin and a baby girl expected to arrive this November; mother, Debra Faris; father, Glenn Godwin, his wife Susan & baby sister Alexis; brother, Daniel Godwin; sister, Gina Godwin & her son August; grandparents, Glenn & Theresa Godwin; 5 aunts & uncles, 10 first cousins & over 100 immediate family members from the Godwin, Gomez & Luna households. He was proceeded in death by his favorite uncle Kenneth Godwin and great-grandmother Elena Gomez. A Wake and Rosary was held on Sunday July 17, 2011. Mass of Christian burial was held Monday July 18, 2011 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lumberton, interment followed at the Gomez Family cemetery in Dulce. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to benefit Scarlett's 529 college trust account. Please contact family for details.
