Policarpio Martinez – Age 77 a resident of El Guache passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. He retired from the Zia company at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He enjoyed running his tractor on his farm, growing fruits and vegetables in his garden and going to the casino. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, and took pride in raising his family and teaching them love and respect and especially loved his wife Dora, caring for her until his passing. He is preceded in death by his parents Felipe and Rita Martinez, brother Felipe Martinez and sister Lela Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife Dora L. Martinez, children; Medora Pacheco and her husband Richard of El Guache, Martin Martinez and his wife Angela of Fairview, and Melvin Martinez of El Guache, grandchildren; Menina and Melanie Pacheco, and Brianna Martinez, great grandson Diego Francisco, Sisters; Anna Marie Gallegos of Pueblo, CO., and Ramoncita Garcia of Medanales, brother Joe Martinez, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. In the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
