Prescilla M. Ortiz, beloved mother to 4 children, 78, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on September 20, 2024, leaving a tremendous void her family cannot fill. She was born in Santa Fe in 1946 to Helen and Facundo Sisneros. She is proceeded in death by her son Alex James Ortiz, granddaughter Samantha Mae Ortiz, her parents, brothers; Orlando Sisneros, Gilbert Sisneros, Joe R. (JR) Sisneros, nephew Patrick Sisneros, and great nephews Alfonso Sisneros and Christopher Robin Matthews (Rikki – Richard Sisneros).
Prescilla is survived by her loving children; David Ortiz, Margaret Ortiz, and Kellie Ortiz, grandchildren; Antonio Vigil, Juan Vigil, Marcos Barela, Vicente Tafoya, Destiny Piper, Andrew Vigil, great grandchildren; Izabella Rae Pacheco – Vigil, Amoura Mae Vigil, Avianna Vigil, Adelinda Vigil, and Aiden Vigil, sisters; Mary and Gilbert Gurule, and Wanda Montoya, special nieces and nephews; Loretta Gonzales, Denise McDowell, Gilbert Sisneros, Anthony Sisneros, and Richard Sisneros, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Prescilla was a wonderful loving mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. The love she showed to all of us will live on and be with us even now that she has gone to be with GOD. Thank you, MOM, for always loving us and guiding us. All that we are we owe to you. May GOD grant you eternal rest.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at The Light at Mission Viejo, 4601 Mission Bend, Santa Fe, NM 87507, where we will also gather to Celebrate the remarkable Life of our beautiful Mother on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 417 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505. A reception will follow the interment at The Light at Mission Viejo. Pallbearers will include Destiny Piper, Izabella Rae Pacheco – Vigil, Amoura Mae Vigil, Avianna Vigil, Adelinda Vigil, Aiden Vigil, and serving as Honorary Pallbearers will include Antonio Vigil, Juan Vigil, Marcos Barela, Vicente Tafoya, Andrew Vigil, and Anthony Sisneros.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Staff of Presbyterian Hospice in Santa Fe for sharing our mother’s final journey. We cannot thank you enough and words cannot express how much you all mean to us. We are eternally grateful and will never forget your support and kindness.
