Rachel Gonzales Ruddy

Rachel E Ruddy (Gonzales) 60, of Ranchos de Taos, passed away January 18, 2016 in Phoenix, Az. She was born in Taos, NM. She graduated from Taos High School, and Northern New Mexico Highlands University where she received her teaching degree. Her life was full and she found great joy in her church and family. She was greatly loved, and will be missed beyond words. She was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Isia and Cliotilde Gonzales and Maternal grandparents, Alberto and Felicitas Tafoya. She is survived by her husband, Edward Michael Ruddy, daughter and son-in -law, Tony and Jennifer Bender, grandsons, Shawn and Joseph Bender, great granddaughter, Genesis Bender, mother, Emma Tafoya, siblings, Albert and Romey Gonzales and Trini and Zandra Velarde, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. A rosary was held on May 2, 2016. Memorial Mass was held on May 3, 2016. Both services were held San Francisco de Asis Church. Internment followed at Talpa cemetery.
