Ralph Bruening

Ralph Bruening Jr. of Santa Fe, NM (formerly of Amherst and Westlake, Ohio), born 8/11/40 passed from his life here on earth to his next journey on January 7, 2023 following a short illness.

Ralph moved with his wife and children from Cleveland to Amherst in 1971 to pursue a career with Nordson. Following a lengthy career and retirement from Nordson, Ralph moved to the western United States living in Oregon for a short time and then settling in New Mexico.

Ralph enjoyed camping, hiking, windsurfing, the mountains and anything to do with the outdoors.

Ralph will be missed by his children Ralph (Carol) Bruening III of Lorain, Susan (Khalid Nooh) Bruening of Amherst, Carol (Craig) Lukes of Amherst and Judy (Mark) Capparelli of Garner, NC, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Delores Shannon & MaryAnn (Jim) Kline, Brothers Ken (Elaine) & Rich (Kathy) (twin brother of Ralph) Bruening; sister-in-law Erica Bruening and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph George Sr. & Mary Margaret (Yonke) Bruening, brother Bud Bruening and brother-in-law Tom Shannon.

Per the request of Ralph there was no funeral or memorial service held as he liked to keep life as simple as could be. The family will hold a private and simple celebration of life March 19, 2023.
