Ramona A. Vigil

Ramona A. Vigil age 91 of Espanola, NM. died peacefully at her residence on Thursday February 11, 2010. She was born in Espanola and remained a lifelong resident, devoting herself unselfishly to the wellbeing of her family. She was a member of the Sagrada Familia and lifetime parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Vigil was preceded in death by her husband Frank Vigil in 2002, parents Melisendro and Leonor Archuleta, and sons Alfonso Vigil in 1961 and Larry Vigil in 1968. She is survived by her children; Richard Vigil and wife Eliza, Joe Vigil and wife Ethel, Armando Vigil and wife Frances and Alvin Vigil and wife Angela of Espanola, Elizabeth Vanshaemelout and husband Andy of Belen and Eleanor Vigil of Albuquerque as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A public visitation will take place on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola. There will be no visitation taking place on Sunday. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Espanola with interment following at the church cemetery with the grandsons serving as pallbearers.
