Ramon B. Dominguez Jr.

Ramon B. Dominguez, Jr., 57, a lifelong resident of Abiquiu, NM, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Ramon was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Dominguez; his parents, Ramon B. Dominguez Sr. and Criselda Dominguez; and in-laws, Rafael and Inez Trujillo. Ramon, better known as "Mon', served God as a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus in Espanola, NM, and as a penitente as part of the Hermanos de La Morada del Alto de Abiquiu, NM. He was devoted to his son, Ruben, and they were always together, along with his other companion, his guitar. Mon will be remembered for his great heart, his musical talent, his joking ways, and that infectious laugh that made you want to laugh just because. He always said that he never met a stranger because he had that kind of personality that everyone was a friend. His jobs included working at Northern New Mexico College, Rio Arriba County, and the State of New Mexico. He was part of a musical group, Grupo Zia, with his life-long friends, Freddie Sandoval, Rachel Saiz Sandoval and Dan Burke. Ramon is survived by his son, Ruben; brothers and sisters: Edith (Armando) Trujillo; Ralph Dominguez; Russell (Cemele) Dominguez; Robin (Miguel) Nevarez; Richard Dominguez; Ruth (Marcos) Martinez; Renee (John) Espinoza; Randy Dominguez; Rodney (Nancy) Dominguez; Ryan (Jeanette) Dominguez; and Rachelle Dominguez; his aunt, Lydia Jordan; sisters-in-law, rose (Albert) Vialpando and Veronica (Steve) Muscarella and Salvador (Lucy) Trujillo; good friends, Fred and Rachel Sandoval; Manuel and Shirley Trujillo; lbert Fernandez; Cipriano Vigil; Felix "Punky" Trujillo, Ted Rael and numerous nephews and nieces, friends, and relatives. Services are pending at this time. Serving as pallbearers will be his brothers Ralph, Russell, Richard, Randy, Rodney and Ryan Dominguez.
