Randell Wayne Moffat, age 64, of Eagle Nest, NM and Redding, CA passed away suddenly on 1-14-2018 in Redding, CA. He was born in Victoria, Australia to Eugene and Virginia Moffat on 9-18-1953. Randy has an older Brother Mike Moffat of Redding, CA. Randy raced motorcycles through his high school years. He was always winning his races. His parents were at every race cheering him on. Randy lost his father when he was sixteen years old. Randy helped support the family by working after school at the Coca Cola plant sorting bottles. After graduating from High School he joined the Navy. Randy went to work for his Uncle Kenny in Colorado as a Plumber's helper. At the age of 25, Randy became a Master Plumber in Houston, Texas. In 1979 he started his own Plumbing business along with his wife, Susan, of 44 years. Randy and Susan retired from the Plumbing business in 2015 and together they enjoyed traveling back and forth from NM to CA. Randy always wanted to come back to Redding. Together they have two sons, Robert (deceased) and Jerry Moffat. Randy's grandchildren are Dylan and Marissa Moffat of Plantersville, Texas. Randy had built the one and only Boat Dry Stack in Surfside, Texas. Also sold fuel to boats on the water. Randy loved boating and fishing with friends. Randy owned a 31' Bertram (Bullet) and a 46' Bertram (Marissa). Randy named the 46' after his Granddaughter. Randy and Susan built a home in South Texas, just south of Charlotte, Texas where the whole family and friends hunted hogs, deer and quail. Rattlesnakes, too. Randy ranched and Elk hunted for years at this New Mexico ranch. Randy
would invite his Texas friend as well as his local (Buds) to come on up and hunt with him. Friends and family gathered on 1-28-2018 at the Moffat home in NM on Squash Blossom to celebrate Randy's life. Randy was laid to rest next to his son Robert's grave at the Moffat family Cemetery. Randy lived life to the fullest. Randy was happy with life.Randy made many of friends,they will always remember his kindness and generosity and friendship.
