Randy Sandoval

Randy J. Sandoval – Age 43 a resident of Chimayo passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Joined in passing onto the Lord by his grandmother, Sofia Sandoval of Chimayo on the same night. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Sandoval in 1989; older brother, Sandy Lee Sandoval in 1980; aunt, Teresa Martinez of Chimayo; and grandparents: Ezequiel Sandoval of Chimayo and Hermerejildo and Epimenia Ortiz of Truchas. He was born on January 1, 1962 to Ruth Ortiz-Sandoval in Fairview, New Mexico. He was an Electronic Technician for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was a 1980 graduate of McCurdy High School and also graduated from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1989. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Ortiz-Sandoval; sister, Tyra Sandoval; and brother, Matthew Sandoval all of Chimayo; daughter, Anika Sandoval; step-son, Isaac Ortiz; and former wife, Lola Sandoval all of Cordova; only niece, Amanda Lee Sandoval and her half brother, Joseph Fernandez, and their mother Kristina Ortiz all of Alcalde; aunts and uncles: Asencionita and Gregorio Lopez of Truchas, Sally and Profirio Sanchez of Grand Junction, CO, Cristobal and Sabinita Ortiz of Cordova, Nancy Trujillo of Alcalde, Art and Olivia Ortiz of La Mesilla, Martha and Eppie Romero of Kerns, UT, Louis and Ruth Sandoval, and Roque Martinez of Chimayo and numerous other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 25th, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with Pastor Hector Quiñones officiating.
