RAPHAEL J. LOCKWOOD Age 84 of San Juan Pueblo passed away peacefully on Friday May 19, 2006 in Taos. He was born on August 22, 1921 in Seama Village, NM. To the late William and Juanita Lockwood. He retired from the U. S. Federal Government Service in 1983, and was a former heavy equipment operator for the Northern Pueblos Agency. He is also preceded in death by his son Michael Lockwood, sisters Erma and Delores Martin, sister in law Felicita Cruz and brother in law Frank D. Cruz, aunt Ruby Pino Povijua, who was like a mother to him. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Carnation Lockwood, son Bill Lockwood, grandson reared by him Steven Lockwood, sister in law Juanita Martinez, niece Dora Cruz, all of San Juan and other nieces Julia Honaberger of Alcalde, Dodie Garcia, Alvita Sarracino, Liz Martin and Jean LeValdo all of Laguna, nephews; Sonny Cruz and wife Manuelita of Georgia, Willie Cruz of San Juan, and Emery Martin of Albuquerque. Grand nieces and nephews include; Angela Jennings, Veronica Martinez, Jonathan Cruz, Peter Cruz, James Martinez, Jr., Marquetta Thomas, Melodie Cruz, Richard Cota, Matthew Cota, Michael Cota and Godchildren; Carol Cruz, Sybil Cota and husband Anthony, Nicole Namingha, J.J. Trujillo, Sonny Trujillo, Ann Cruz, Michael Cruz and Merlin Martinez as well as many other loving family members. Recitation of the Rosary was held on Sunday May 21st at Block-Salazar Mortuary, a traditional wake will be held on Monday evening at the family home in San Juan. The mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 9:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan Pueblo with interment to follow at the San Juan Pueblo Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be: Jonathan Cruz, Pete Cruz, James Martinez, Jr., Matthew Montoya, Michael Cruz and Merlin Martinez. The family of Raphael J.
