Raymond M. Vigil, 63, of Denver and formerly of Arroyo Hondo passed away April 13, 2014. He was born in Arroyo Hondo, NM, the son of Julian and Elvira (Arellano) Vigil. On July 31, 1971 he married Mary Lou Vigil, of Taos, NM. Ray was a decorated Vietnam Veteran and was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a trucking supervisor for Safeway and retired after 30 years. He loved his family, hunting, the Broncos and enjoyed horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Elvira, brother, Jerome, sister, Vicky, and niece, Rose, tather-in-law Carlos Trujillo, brother-in-law Carlos, Jr., and his Buddy, Rudy Vigil. Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; children, Ray Vigil Jr., (Jennifer), Sonia Vigil (Mark), Jesse Vigil (Desiree); grandchildren: Isaac, Lucas, Ray, III, Lana, Nadia, Jesse, Jr., Serenity, Alonzo, and Claudio; and sister, Regina (Adelmo) Vigil and brother, Eraclio "Jets" (Jenny) Vigil and sisters, Lillian and Julia Vigil, mother-in-law, Aurora Trujillo, brother in law, Carlos Ortega and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, his special God Children, special aunts and uncles, many cousins and friends.
