Rebecca Leon, 81, of Cerro passed away on December 17, 2018. She was born April 12, 1937 to Jake and Carolina (Vigil) Archuleta. She was raised by grandparents, Juan and Dorotea Archuleta. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, two infant sons, brothers, Juanito & Abel Archuleta and sister, Sarah Chacon. She is survived by husband of 62 years, Epimenio D. Leon, children, Dorothy Aguilar, (Piffie), Evelyn Avila (Dale), David Leon, (Marbella), Ana Martinez, (Rocky) and Flora Mascarenas (Joseph). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grand-children, and 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by 8 siblings Junior, Romaine, Elsie Archuleta, Manuel Archuleta (Sabbie), Mary Garcia (Ralph), Tony Archuleta (Jeannie), Georgia Allen, (Tommy) and Gloria Archuleta, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Rebecca was a homemaker, most of her life making her children her life priority. She was very talented enjoying arts and crafts, crocheting, sewing, making quilts and loved to play guitar. She also loved to paint-always again thinking of her children and making sure they all had a painting.
She will forever be loved and cherished for all that she did for her family.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 6 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Cerro. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment to follow at the Cerro Cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
