Redolfo R. Martinez

Redolfo R. Martinez, age 83, a resident of Chimayo passed away peacefully with his family on October 22nd, 2016. Redolfo attended Menaul High School and Highlands University, he later served in the US Army and was a proud veteran who took pride in everything he did. He was a very hard worker and taught his children his same values. Redolfo loved to tend to his farm and orchard. He enjoyed camping ,fishing with his family and was a big sports fan. He is preceded in death by his sons Rudolph and Julian Martinez, his parents Fidel and Fidelita Martinez, his sister Lugarda and her husband Arturo Sanchez, his brothers Fidel Jr and Leroy Martinez, mother in law Versa Romero, brothers in law Adonio Romero and Joe I Montoya, and sister in law Phillis Romero He is survived by his wife Maria Tommie Martinez, son Phillip Martinez, daughters Loyola (husband John) Montoya, and Vivian Martinez, 10 grand children and 2 great grand children. Sisters Adelina Vigil, Marcella Anaya, and Geraldine Baca, Brothers Gilbert and Wilfred Martinez. A special thank you to his special grand daughter Victoria Lucero who lovingly cared for her grandfather during his illness. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Rivera Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family has entrusted the care and funeral services of Redolfo R. Martinez to the care of Rivera Family Funeral Home of Espanola.
