Ricardo Martinez

Ricardo R. Martinez, 31, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away on June 22, 2022. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on July 12, 1990. He was a 2008 graduate from Capital High School. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his parents; Wilfred and Patricia Martinez; brothers; Feliberto Martinez of Rio Rancho and Armando Martinez (Cristine) of Los Angeles, CA, nieces; Shalyn and Lalianna Martinez and nephew Elijah Martinez and many other family members and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joe and Consuelo Martinez and John and Mary Bransford, Uncles; Manuel Lucero, Leroy Martinez, Aunts; Helen Martinez, Eva Martinez, Cousin Michael Martinez, and many friends.

Ricardo was employed at the Santa Fe Community College and at Applebee’s and held many other jobs throughout his life. Ricardo was a hard worker, always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed doing landscaping on his parents rose garden. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Dodgers, and UNM Lobos. He enjoyed visiting his brother Armando in California and going to Dodgers and Lakers games. He enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and friends. He was generous, thoughtful, and loving person and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Santa Maria de la Paz, 11 College Ave Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508. Interment will lie at Rosario Cemetery following the mass.
