Ricardo Pacheco

Ricardo Pacheco – Age 72 a long life resident of Chimayo passed away on Sunday, September 3rd, 2006. He was born on March 13, 1934 to Patricio Pacheco and Trinidad Martinez-Pacheco. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Horacio Pacheco and Ben Pacheco. Ricardo was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed ranching, farming and the outdoors. He worked for the Zia Company for 38 years until his retirement in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucia Chacon-Pacheco; sons: Remijio Pacheco and wife Eva of Chimayo and La Mesilla and Manuel Pacheco and wife Francisca of Chimayo; daughters: Eufemia Romero and husband Vicente of Chimayo and Olivia Maestas of El Guache; brothers: Rubel Pacheco and wife Emily of Chimayo, Ruben Pacheco and wife Ramona of Superior, AZ and Dan Pacheco and wife Rosina of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters: Sofia Curry and husband Elton of Chimayo and Nora Gallegos and husband Fred of Hernandez; sisters-in-law, Dolores Martinez and husband Samuel of Fairview and Ernestina Herrera of Farmington; brother-in-law, Herman Chacon and wife Rosabel of Las Vegas, NM; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A private burial will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made in the memory of Ricardo Pacheco to the American Cancer Society.
