Richard Clemens Dice passed away on January 11, 2020.  He was born on January 16, 1927 in Denver CO to Minnie Peterson. He was given up for adoption and lovingly adopted a few days later by Albert and Vesta Dice who raised him in Morrison and Lakewood CO.  Immediately after high school he joined the US Navy and served as a Corpsman until the end of the war. He then attended Stanford University where he met his wife of 62 years, Louise Reyburn. They married June 12, 1948 and had three sons while attending school and working. After graduating from Stanford with English degrees they moved to Denver where Richard eventually  became Senior VP of the Trust Dept for First National Bank of Denver. They welcomed a daughter to the family in 1958. In 1964 Richard and Louise took a vacation to Taos NM. They fell in love with the area and bought a second home in Arroyo Seco. In 1979 they retired to their dream lives in Arroyo Seco gardening, raising sheep and horses and feeding the wild birds. Richard was a banker, an animal lover, a published author, a mountain climber, a horseman, a tango dancer and a devoted husband and father to his children and many 'adopted' friends and neighbors.  He is survived by his children, Michael, Christopher (Christine), Timothy and Kathleen. He has seven grandchildren and 9 great grand children with one more on the way, two beloved dogs and horses.
